Things to see and do when visiting Ningaloo

There are plenty of activities to do whilst you are here in Exmouth. Below is a list of suggestions to explore. If you are seeking further information. The nationally accredited Ningaloo Visitor Centre, is located within the Ningaloo Aquarium and Discovery Centre. The freindly staff are knowledgable locals. They are there to make sure, you make the most out of your stay, on the beautiful Ningaloo Coast. Advanced tour bookings are highly recommended and encouraged. Secure your spot on a tour by contactacting the Ningaloo Visitor Centre direct on (08) 9949 3070 or alternatively contact the tour company directly if you know your preference.

Town Centre - Ross St shopping mall (Maidstone Crescent). Sunday Markets in nearby Federation Park April – October.

Water Sprayground - Kids water ‘sprayground’ in Federation Park (Maidstone Crescent).

The Big Prawn - Exmouth’s iconic landmark.

Ningaloo Aquarium and Discovery Centre - Explore the interactive visitor galleries and museum. Cyclone Vance room, Ningaloo aquariums and reptile exhibits. Cape range cave experience. The perfect introduction to Ningaloo, a must see and do for every visitor.

VLF Towers - Second tallest man-made structures in the Southern Hemisphere.

Bundegi Beach - Enjoy a swim and snorkel or launch your boat for best access to the Muiron Islands.

SS Mildura Wreck - 1907 cattle steamer shipwreck easily visible from the shore.

Surfers Beach (Dunes Beach) - Ningaloo’s most popular and easy to access surf break.

Vlamingh Head Lighthouse - The best lookout over Ningaloo Reef. Watch the sunset over the ocean or spot humpback whales from June through to the end of October.

Jurabi Turtle Centre - Learn about turtles at this interpretive centre. Nesting season is November to March.

Mauritius Beach - Get an all over tan at this ‘clothing optional’ beach.

Tantabiddi Boat Ramp - Launch your boat. Best boat access point for the Ningaloo Reef.

Cape Range National Park - Nature at its finest. Experience coastal exploring. Entrance/camping fees apply.

Mangrove Bay Bird Hide - Observe the unique birdlife of Ningaloo.

Milyering Discovery Centre - Information on the Cape Range National Park & Ningaloo Coast World Heritage area.

Lakeside - Self-guided snorkel right from the beach to large coral bommies.

Turquoise Bay - Take a self-guided snorkel in the bay or experience the drift snorkel (please be aware strong currents can occur).

Oyster Stacks - Self-guided snorkel. High tide of 1.2m + only. Ideal for families with young children.

Mandu Mandu Gorge - Take a bush walk through the gorge.

Sandy Bay - North facing beach with stunning clear, shallow waters. Great for kite boarding.

Osprey Bay - Picnic area, kayak launch site and coral snorkelling.

Yardie Creek - View Yardie Creek Gorge from the lookout or book a boat cruise.

Town Beach - Use the free BBQ’s and enjoy a swim. Four-wheel drive vehicle access to the beach.

Exmouth Marina - Launch or dock your boat, or fish from the rockwalls. Best boat access point for Exmouth Gulf.

Shothole Canyon - Self-drive the base of the canyon. Four-wheel drive vehicles only.

Charles Knife Gorge - Self-drive the ridge of the gorge. Not suitable for caravans or campervans.

Thomas Carter Lookout - Views of Exmouth Gulf and the Badjirrajirra walk trail.

Krait & Potshot Memorial - Commemorates operations Jaywick and operation Potshot, 1942-45.

Leamonth Jetty - Safe and productive land-based fishing spot.

Coral Bay - Enjoy life in a relaxed resort town by the beach. With some of Ningaloo’s finest coral snorkelling right on its doorstep.
